OKAY SO. I'm in Nara. I just got back from my second day of work to discover that ONE OF MY TOES DECIDED TO START RANDOMLY BLEEDING FOR NO GOOD REASON. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Saturday night I was picked up by Daniel, my friend who I'm traveling with's parents and we drove down to New Jersey (which aha I started spelling it New Jerkey) to Newark. We got there so early we had to actually wait for the ticket counter to open. The guy there was super-awesome and upgraded us to Economy Plus (which is better than Economy but not as good as Business) seats for NO CHARGE simply so we could sit next to each other on our flights. I leave for Japan on Saturday. Well, technically Sunday, but I'm dragged out of my house on Saturday. I'm not packed. I don't have some important documents printed/scanned. I need like a billion photocopies of my passport and I have NONE. I need to get sunscreen and toothpaste and make sure I have enough socks and underwear and pants and casual clothes and I still need a light jacket. Were the souvenirs I bought good enough?
